Warm Melt Adhesives The Safe Way to Cut Costs and Improve Efficiency

For many years now the packaging industry has debated the need for an adhesive class that will have all the properties of the existing hot melt ad- hesives, but that can be applied at much lower temperatures without the loss of performance and with the versatility of hot melts. To date, all the solutions proposed by adhesive manufacturers to reduce the ap- plication temperatures of hot melt adhesives have concentrated on providing spe- cific solutions to specific problems on a short term basis. These short term solutions were usually based on the introduction of lower application tempera- ture hot melt adhesives. I share the feelings of the industry about these low appli- cation temperature hot melts.
