摘要

The economic side of China's rise has manifested itself in China's leading position in international trade, dominant role in global manufacturing, and massive foreign exchange reserves. Also important but not well studied is the internationalization of Chinese firms which has occurred through myriad forms such as joint ventures (JVs), licensing, and Chinese outward foreign direct investment or COFDI. This is unfortunate because "the next frontier in the economic battlefield is the globalization of Chinese enterprises" (2). To address this lacuna, the editors have assembled a team of distinguished business researchers from around the globe.
