摘要

Natural gas transportation through pipelines under changing subsea conditions is fraught with operational challenges such as hydrates formation. The management, control and monitoring of this hydrate formation requires the ability to predict accurately hydrate onset formation pressures. The design of this model based on principles of mass and momentum conservation equation and expressed in canonical form. The nonlinear differential equation was solved analytically using the method of characteristics. The developed analytical model was also extended to check the behaviour of different methane fraction component in natural gas stream to hydrate growth and blockage severity. Results from the present model compared well with complex models in literature (R~2 = 0.99; p < 0.01).
