This journal is the second in a two-part publication to commemorate the life and work of Frans M. Everaerts, who passed away on April 7, 2007. The following editorial was written by Dr. Norberto A. Guzman, the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Capillary Electrophoresis and Microchip Technology. It is being reprinted here for those readers who may not have had access to the first issue of this work.
