Fiduciary law, without recourse to casuistic argumentation, provides sufficient, protean, and energizing norms and guidelines for the management of corporate enterprise in ethical ways. From the perspective of fiduciary thinking, both the financial interests of shareholders and the vital concerns of stakeholders present themselves to corporate directors and officers in ethical dress. Where a prudential calculus becomes necessary to sort through the conflicting ethical claims of shareholders and other stakeholders, measurements of entity responses to such multi-variant stakeholder concerns are possible, permitting as a consequence systematic, and long-term management of conflicting alternatives.
