This review is not about one particular issue of the journal, An Architektur, but rather about a programmatic critical approach to the built environment pursued by the journal, its workshops and related bookshops. The last issue of the journal, however, is exemplary in advocating 'commoning' as a political strategy against the capitalist commodification of space and its representation in architecture and urban development. It provides a starting point from which to consider An Architektur's whole project.
