Bank Supervision after the Financial Crisis: Panel Discussion from the 2015 Applied Finance Conference

The Financial Management Association held its fifth annual Applied Finance Conference on May 15, 2015, at St. John's University in New York. As part of the conference, the Journal of Applied Finance sponsored a special panel session, moderated by Jason Berkowitz of St. John's University, in which four panel members from varying backgrounds shared their perspectives on bank supervision after the financial crisis of 2008. The panel members are Beverly Hirtle from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Robert DeYoung from the University of Kansas, Scott Frame from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and Mark Kust of Ally Financial.
