Structure of Solvent-Free, Monomeric CH_3Li and CH_3Na

In summary, we have determined the geometrical parameters of highly reactive CH_3Li and CH_3Na for the first time. The extension of these studies to other organoalkalis and low- coordinate organometallics is the subject of ongoing and future work.
