摘要

The integrations between a high-speed jet flow and a curved surfacewould influence the aerodynamic performance of a design; the jet flowenergizing the boundary layer and helps in delaying the flow separation. Theaerodynamic lift performance characteristic of Coandá effect aircraft at thejet velocity ranging from 10 m/s to 16 m/s is assessed. The assessment isbased on two design configuration models, which are circular and elliptichemispherical shapes. Both of the test models are fabricated via 3D printer.A series of holes are drilled along the curved surface, and the static pressuredistributions are measured using inclined manometer. From the measuredpressure distributions, it has shown that the lift produced is depending on themagnitude of the jet velocity. The elliptical shape produces greater negativepressure, with the total lift force amounting up to five times than the circularshape.
