Treatment of 38 Cases of Post-Herpes Neuralgia by Encircled Needling plus Cotton Moxibustion

Objective: To investigate a therapeutic method for post-herpes neuralgia,.Methods: Seventy-six cases of post-herpes neuralgia were equally divided into the treatment group treated with encircled needing and cotton moxibustion and control group treated with the routine acupuncture. Results: The total effective rate was 94.7% in the treatment group and 78.9% in control group. Conclusion: The encircled needing plus cotton moxibustion had the better therapeutic effect than routine acupuncture in treating post-herpes neuralgia.
