The Medical Emergency Team and Rapid Response System: Finding, Treating, and Preventing Hypoglycemia

摘要

In this article, we present a case that demonstrates the successful use of the rapid response system, beginning with event detection and response. The article also reports the administrative and quality improvement (QI) processes that occurred in response to one patient's series of critical hypoglycemic events, which ultimately contributed to systematic improvements in patient safety.
