Overview of the JR Freight Central Training Center

The Central Training Center (hereinafter referred to as "training school") is JR Freight's facility for training train drivers. Since its inauguration, over eight years have passed. At the beginning of FY 2003, JR Freight has about 2,300 train drivers, and one-fourth of them have completed training at this training school. As the training school will play a more important role in the future, an even higher quality of training for train drivers is called for. The following is an introduction of this training school.
