摘要

The application of the fuel-cell system to the transport sector is widely anticipated due to its features of zero emission and the capacity to save and diversify energy. In the same way as automobiles, railway cars provide a promising field where the advantages of fuel-cells can be leveraged. To commercialize them for the railway industry however, a number of issuesrnremain in regard to cell performance, the storage of hydrogen fuel and the infrastructure required. Since ordinary people use railways, the importance of safety measures cannot be exaggerated too much, as unforeseen accidents can occur anytime and anywhere.
