摘要

A DNA-based method was applied to the site-selective deposition of Au nanoparticles on Au islands on a highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) substrate. Au particles of 10 nm diameter were modified with thiolated single-stranded DNA (SH-ssDNA), and then attached to Au islands modified with complementary SH-ssDNA through DNA hybridization. Atomic force microscopy observations revealed that the deposition of Au particles was dependent on the SH-ssDNA concentration in the treatment of Au/HOPG substrates. It was found that Au particles were selectively deposited on Au islands when the Au/ HOPG substrate was treated with 100nmol/L SH-ssDNA.
