NEC strengthens software-defined networking business with new portfolio of solutions

NEC has established a portfolio of software-defined networking offerings under the NEC SDN Solutions banner, combining NEC technologies, products, services and partner products. To be launched in Japan in October 2013, the selection will target enterprises, government, telecommunications carriers and data center operators throughout the world. The portfolio comprises WAN Connection Optimization for Offices and Data Centers, Office LAN Optimization Solutions, Access Authentication Solutions, laaS Operation Automation Solutions and Data Center Network Integration Solutions.
