Pacnet to upgrade EAC-C2C Asia subsea cable with 100G, OTN optical mesh network

Pacnet, a provider of integrated network and technology solutions with over 46,000 km of fiber on submarine cable systems, connectivity to 24 data centers and facilities in Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney, has announced plans to deploy an optical mesh network utilizing its wholly-owned EAC-C2C subsea cable network. As part of its latest transformation strategy to focus on the carrier and enterprise markets, this deployment is expected to create the foundation for Pacnet to offer a seamless set of network services between its interconnected data centers throughout the region.
