Xilinx, iWave develop Edge AI chip Corazon AI, for smart city devices, services

Xilinx has teamed up with iWave, a product engineering services company based in Japan and India, to design the Corazon-AI, an Edge AI chip aimed at helping intelligent devices take real time decision, for intelligence at the edge and smart city services. The companies said the chip will provide software developers and system integrators with a platform to develop AI applications on the edge, for computing Smart City services. The Corazon-AI was built using Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC devices. It also has a FPGA-based AI Inference engine with a pico-ITX form factor (100mm x 72mm) coupled with multiple connectivity options with support to connect multiple cameras. Finally, it features a deep learning processor unit.
