Radar refresh: Sea Giraffe family grows to meet diverse mission requirements

Tracing its heritage to Ericsson Microwave Systems and its predecessor companies, what is today the radar business of Saab in Gothenburg has a long record in the design, development, manufacture, and support of naval radars. Its position in this market over the past two decades has been underpinned by the success of its Sea Giraffe AMB 3D C-band multibeam radar, which is in service in Sweden and exported to eight other naval forces, including the US Navy (USN).
