NAVSEA taps six for LUSV industry studies

Six companies have been contracted by the US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to undertake industry studies to inform the navy's Large Unmanned Surface Vessel (LUSV) programme. Awarded on 4 September, the firm-fixed price contracts were let to Huntington Ingalls Industries, Lockheed Martin, Bollinger Shipyards Lockport, Fincantieri Marinette Marine, Gibbs & Cox, and Austal USA. Each contract is valued at approximately USD7 million.
