While sales of fast attack craft have seen a significant downturn over the last two decades, there are still a number of navies who find that the genre remains relevant to their specific operational environment and associated concept of oper-ations.These are principally forces with relatively narrow straits, channels or chokepoints to defend, and those which can exploit favourable coastal geography (such as archipelagos strewn with islets and islands) to emerge from cover, strike, and then disengage at high speed.
