Iraq urgently seeks support ships

The Iraqi Navy (IqN) is urgently seeking two new-build Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs) for delivery in July and November 2011 under the US Foreign Military Sales programme.rnExpedited delivery of the vessels is of "paramount importance" as the IqN prepares to shoulder responsibility for maritime security operations in Iraqi waters in the northernrnPersian Gulf, according to US Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).
