Taiwan navy secures support for SM-1 missile

Raytheon Missile Systems has signed a USD60.5 million contract to provide spare parts and components in support of the Standard Missile 1 (SM-1) for Taiwan and Italy under the US Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programme, the Pentagon announced on 10 September.rnThe modification pays for 407 Mk 56 regrained dual thrust rocket motors (DTRMs), an inert SM-1 Block Vl-B operational missile and an option to include three additional DTRMs. In addition the contract will pay for core support, missiles, spare components and parts to maintain the missiles.
