The us cobra Judy Replacement (CJR) shipboard radar suite on board the USNS Howard O Lorenzen (T-AGM 25) was tested against a live rocket launch on 19 March 2013, Raytheon announced on 2 April. From a location approximately 100 miles off the Florida coast, the system's X-band (8-12 GHz) and S-band (2-4 GHz) radars successfully acquired and tracked an Atlas V rocket launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station to place the second Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO-2) spacecraft into orbit.
