Emulating the anti-ship threat: NAVAIR hones target inventory for live testing

The US Naval Air Systems Command's (NAVAIR's) Aerial Targets Program Office (PMA-208) accepted the first production BQM-177A target from Kratos Defense & Security Solutions at a ceremony in McClellan, California, on 11 July 2018. Developed by Kratos to meet the Subsonic Aerial Target (SSAT) programme requirement, the handover of the first BQM-177A marked a milestone in the US Navy's (USN's) efforts to update its inventory of subscale target vehicles. A first flight presentation followed later that same month.
