Deep thinking: JFD realises its vision of third-generation submarine rescue

The first of two new submarine rescue systems destined for service with the Indian Navy was shipped in early March from the port of Felixstowe in eastern England. After a six-week delivery transit to Mumbai, the system will be reassembled before beginning an eight-week period of commissioning and sea acceptance trials ahead of entering operational service later this year.
