Joint and coalition operations are the norm in the modern bat-tlespace; from the Gulf War in 1991 through to peacekeeping operations in the Balkans and present-day operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, as the number of participants and the complexity of operations has grown, new technologies and methods have also developed to meet the training needs for joint and coalition operations.rnTo this end, in recent times a clear drive to provide the proven capabilities of simulation systems over a distributed network has taken place, and continues to do so.
