Iveco showcased its improved light multirole vehicle (LMV) platform at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2014 exhibition in Kuala Lumpur. Company representatives told IHS Jane's that the LMV has been upgraded with a number of refinements based on customer feedback from operational experience, going as far back as deployments to Afghanistan in 2007. With the upgrades, the company has also revised its LMV product line, offering the basic standard cab and short wheel-base platform in two options: the 7100 (7.1 tonnes) and 7500 (7.S tonnes) models. The physical profile remains unchanged with an overall length of 4.79 m, width of 2.2 m, cabin top line height of 2.05 m, and 3.23 m wheelbase.
