Unisys China wins Chengdu T2 role

Unisys China has been named as systems integrator for the new Terminal 2 (T2) at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. Under a subcontract from Sinotec, which is leading the T2 programme, the Chinese business unit of Unisys will supply core operational systems including the Flight Information Management System and the Airport Operational Database (AODB), which will be integrated with the air traffic control system at Chengdu. Unisys China will also supply the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and "take the lead role in the interface design, testing and commissioning of the overall integration of various disparate airport systems to be used in the new terminal", the company stated. Unisys will also oversee the trial of systems at the new terminal and provide maintenance for five years after the new infrastructure enters service in 2012.
