The Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has outlined a path for regulatory development of UAV operations in a Drone Ecosystem Policy Roadmap. The roadmap focuses on expanding operational airspace, and introducing flight conditions to permit beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) trials. In the document, the MoCA outlines the importance of updating the initial tranche of Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR 1.0), released in August 2018, to provide a more flexible environment for the development of the UAV market.
