Hamburg handler buys loaders, stairs

GroundSTARS, one of the three ground-handling subsidiaries of Hamburg Airport operator Flughafen Hamburg, has ordered two new 3.5-tonne cargo container loaders from Laweco, with the option to buy eight more between 2018 and 2021. The ground-handler also formally procured eight passenger boarding stairs with electric auxiliary drive from Slovenian manufacturer TIPS doo, for delivery in 2018, with the option to order eight more over the next three years. GroundSTARS had issued a tender on 30 November 2017.
