Optical fiber contact probe diffuse reflectancenspectroscopy and remote multispectral imaging methods innthe spectral range of 400 to 1100 nm were used for skinnvascular malformation assessment and recovery tracing af-nter treatment by intense pulsed light. The results confirmednthat oxy-hemoglobin relative changes and the optical den-nsity difference between lesion and healthy skin in the spec-ntral region 500 to 600 nm may be successfully used fornobjective appraisal of the therapy effect. Color redness pa-nrameter a* = 2 is suggested as a diagnostic border to distin-nguish healthy skin and vascular lesions, and as the indicatornof phototreatment efficiency. Valuable diagnostic informa-ntion on large area (>5 mm) lesions and lesions with un-ncertain borders can be proved by the multispectral imagingnmethod
