The Youth Forum A first at ITU telecom world 2003

For the first time in the history of ITU telecom world events, a Youth Forum will be held for young men and women from the 189 Member States of the International Telecommunication Union. More than 300 university students will participate as Youth Fellows in the Youth Forum, which runs as part of the prestigious ITU telecom world 2003 Event being staged in Geneva from 12 to 18 October. Launched more than two years ago (first at telecom africa 2001 and then at telecom asia 2002), the Youth Forum programme is expected to go some way towards fulfilling ITU's primary mission of extending the benefits of information and communication technologies (ICT) to all the world's inhabitants.
