World Standards Cooperation for the Information Society

摘要

International standardization and related activities have an increasingly important role for an evolving world market which calls for a harmonized system ca-pable of supporting free trade on optimal and equitable terms. IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), ISO and ITU-T (ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector) recognize this need and are committed to promote and harmonize the international standardization system, starting with strengthening cooperation among themselves.
