Going paperless usually involves a mix of capture technologies such as document scanning, inbound email and fax processing, and electronic forms. However even these capture methods can leave a glaring hole: capturing the data from paper forms like order sheets, insurance applications and HR documents which are used to manually collect customer, vendor and employee information.The problem with these forms is several-fold. Not only are they paper-based, but they have to be manually filled out and distributed for someone to scan, process and file.
