Butt weld inspection and weld machine diagnostic system for continuous coil processing lines

摘要

A system has been developed, using Electro Magnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT) technology, that automatically monitors key variables of an in-line coil welding process and assesses weld quality. The system has contributed to the near elimination of weld breakage in continuous processing lines with a subse quent increase in productivity.
