The Bauhaus movement, which was established 99 years ago in Weimar, set standards in architecture, art and design. The Bauhaus Aviation think tank, in turn, which was founded more than ten years ago, is committed to the mobility of tomorrow. At its own ILA stand the futurologists presented a hybrid-drive concept called Composite Engine, amongst other things. It increases thermal efficiency by inserting piston machines in the core of jet engines. Another idea is the sun-to- liquid project，at the heart of which is an aviation fuel made from sunlight.
