With nearly a million cars channelled annually, the Port of Barcelona is the leader both in Spain and the Mediterranean in the transport of vehicles. This is a strategic segment of activity for the services it provides to the automotive industry (playing a key role in job creation and in contributing value to GDP) and for the Port's objective to consolidate its role as the main distribution hub for the sector in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean area.
