Three axes to the future

The Port of Barcelona has launched its Fourth Strategic Plan for 2021-2025, which establishes the objectives for its infrastructure and defines the planning of activities that are to be carried out in the coming years. This Fourth Strategic Plan is the result of a participatory process involving 200 professionals from the Port Community of Barcelona and the main Port stakeholders. The mission of the Port included in this plan is "to generate prosperity in our community and to increase our customers' ability to compete by providing efficient and sustainable logistics and transport services." The Fourth Strategic Plan has set itself two timelines. One runs through to 2025; for this one a set of specific and quantifiable strategic and operational objectives has been defined. The second one has a long-term horizon, through to 2040, and sets the key lines of action to guarantee that the Port of Barcelona remains a consolidated and competitive hub.
