Printer cartridges make the Brits see red temporarily

The US-based parcel service provider UPS, which transported explosives hidden in a printer cartridge on one of its aircraft, has announced that the British government decided to lift the ban on the import of ink and toner cartridges weighing less than 500 g/17.5 oz by air, with effect from 3 November. Customers outside the UK may therefore use all UPS air services (freight and small package) to ship any such consignments into or from the UK. The UK government's change of mind is due to the implementation of additional security measures at East Midlands airport, where one of the bomb incidents occurred.
