The Dutch company Driessen has developed a pallet that consists entirely of composites. The Franco-Dutch airline AF-KLM Cargo is also taking part in the revolution in the world of the ULD», as the producer calls it. Driessen, a company in the Zodiac Aerospace Group, whose head office is located in Alkmaar, is an industry pioneer in creating a pallet that is made entirely of composites. The so-called full composite Herculight pallet has been designed to meet the demand for lighter equipment on board, which saves fuel and results in fewer CO_2 emissions.
