Milano buys Ipack Ima

The world's most prominent packaging fair is changing hands. No sooner had we finished reporting on the last exhibition, held in May 2015, then the show was acquired by Fiera Milano, Milan's trade fair corporation. The brand and the exhibition team now belong to the fair organiser that had already brought together different sectors in a single location at a supply chain exhibition for the first time in 2015. It will now continue to do so every three years. The events are Meat-Tech, for processing and packaging in the meat industry; Dairytech, for processing and packaging technology in the dairy business; and Fruit Innovation, a showcase for products, technologies and services in the fruit and vegetable trade. The latter was already 50% owned by Fiera Milano. The final member of the quintet is Intra-logistica Italia, an intralogistics plant and machinery show, 50% of which is owned by Deutsche Messe.
