Inthispaper,atwo-part(i.e.,normalpartandreservepart) control scheme is presented for a single wind turbinerngenerator and then extended to a set of them called windpower plant. The proposed method can be applied underrnthe normal operation of the system or emergency condition in which the generating power drops, suddenly. In thisrnwork, initially, a novel control scheme is proposed for both single wind turbine generator and wind power plantrnunder the normal condition. Then, the reserve part of the scheme is presented with the aim of injecting hugernamount of energy to the network, and therefore improving the frequency, after an outage of a generating unit.rnThe proposed scheme is applied to two case studies to validate the performance. Finally, a comprehensive analysisrnis performed, and the effects of different parameters on the system’s frequency behavior are evaluated for differentrnwind speed profiles.
