Global Bioenergies partners with Linde to build 2nd pilot plant

The French start-up Global Bioenergies recently announced that it has picked the Engineering Division of The Linde Group to carry out the design of its second industrial pilot plant that will produce biobased isobutene to be located in Leuna, Germany. Global Bioenergies said the isobutene molecule, with a multi-billion US Dollar market, cannot be easily produced through the cheap C2 fraction of shale gas and natural gas.
