Dominican Republic - Two new, small sugar mills to commence operations soon

Two new small sugar mills attracting an investment of RD$ 800 mln(U$17.9 mln) are scheduled to start crushing cane in the East before the end of February, reports Diario.Libre.com. The two sugar mills will produce brown sugar. One is located in Monte Plata and the other in San Jose de Los Llanos, in the province of San Pedro de Macoris. Capacity of the mills was not specified - it cannot be much given the level of investment.
