USA - Demonstration beet-ethanol plant to commence operations soon

In Fresno, California, the Mendota Advanced Bioenergy Beet Cooperative is planning the start-up of its 1 million gallons per year (gpy) beets-to-biofuels pilot processing plant sometime in December. The demonstration plant testing is scheduled until autumn of 2015 at which time the Cooperative hopes to build commercial scale plant with capacity of 15 million gallons.
