摘要

The closure of the stator slots of an Asynchronous Motor using wedges to reduce the permeance harmonics is investigated using a transient finite element analysis, which considers the rotor movement. The waveforms of the stator current, the magnetic field in the air-gap and the electromagnetic torque, as well as their harmonic content have been calculated and compared to the case of open stator slots using the 2D Finite Element Model of the Motor. Moreover, the full characteristics of the two simulated models are calculated, using time harmonic finite element analysis.
