Compositions containing methacrylic acid glycidyl esters as structure-forming components and phosphoric acid esters as flame retardants were exposed to light and the properties of the resulting polymers investigated. The effects of an ionic polymerisation initiator on photopolymerisation, gel fraction and structure of the resulting polymerisate were investigated along with the influence of the power of UV radiation on structure formation. The fire behaviour of the composition and a transparent composite consisting of silicate glass layers and interlayers of the polymer composition was also investigated.
