New Deep-sea Partnership

Serpent, the UK-based deep-sea research project, and Marine Simulation, USA, a developer of cutting-edge simulation software, have announced a new working partnership. Collaborating closely with key players in the oil and gas industry, the SERPENT (Scientific and Environmental ROV Partnership using Existing iNndustrial Technology) project is hosted by the DEEPSEAS Group at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, UK, and aims to make cutting-edge industrial ROV technology and data more accessible to the world's science community. The programme interacts with science and conservation groups globally and has a growing network of UK and global partners.
