Rockland Scientific International (RSI), Canada, has placed an order for a second small instrumentation winch from MacArtney, Denmark. The winch system is specifically designed and optimised for use with the RSI VMP-250 vertical turbulence profiler. "Customers using the VMP-250, designed for coastal research applications, were requesting turn-key system packages that include VMP-250 profiler, deployment line and winch, which could be used together on any research vessel, anywhere in the world," said RSI.
