Access Protocols for Cellular High-Speed Data Services

In this contribution, novel access techniques for the future cellular information networks are proposed. To facilitate a fast deployment, the suggested access techniques have been implemented over well-known technological platforms, namely DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) containing a FDM/TDMA (Frequency Division Multiplex/Time Division Multiple Access) structure. Two situations are considered: i) no limits in the use of the all carriers at terminal (ideal case) and ii) maximum number of contiguous/simultneous carriers at terminal (realistic case).
